COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE (CPL) COURSE
The last step to becoming a Commercial Pilot is to complete your Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
When you have successfully completed your CPL, you will be able to fly during the day, in Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) for hire and reward, starting what will hopefully be a long and rewarding career in aviation.
Course Pre-Requisites
Before you can hold a CPL, the following must be obtained:
- Class 1 Medical.
- Complete the 7 CASA CPL Theory exams.
- Meteorology
- Aerodynamics
- Navigation
- Flight Rules & Air Law
- Performance and Flight Planning
- Aircraft General Knowledge
- Human Factors
Oberon Aviation can offer an in house theory courses for all 7 CPL subjects.
Lessons & Course
During the course, you will consolidate and expand your abilities from the PPL course, hour building and preparing for the CPL flight test.
Lessons generally consist of a 45-minute briefing covering information for the planned flight, followed by planned flights of dual instruction to prepare for the CPL flight test. Post flight, our instructor will debrief on the lesson and discuss achievement levels.
